Find the certified email and office code of an Italian public body
Type the name of the body, the municipality or the tax code: you get the body's certified email (PEC) and, office by office, the PEC and the unique code to put in an e-invoice. Data comes from the Italian index of public administration digital addresses (IPA), run by AgID.
Public-source data: it does not replace the body's own instructions. Before sending an important PEC or invoice, check the IPA portal or the body's website. Your search text goes from our server to IPA (AgID), which runs the search. We do not store it or link it to you: the response stays in the network that serves the site (CDN) for up to a day, tied only to the search text, and to limit abuse we count searches by pseudonymised IP address, deleted the next day. We do not show the names of office managers.

What you find here and where it comes from
The Index of digital addresses of the public administration and public service operators (IPA) is the official list of addresses to use for legally valid communications with Italian public bodies (art. 6-ter of the Digital Administration Code). AgID runs it and each body updates its own data.
For each body you get its certified email (PEC), address and IPA code. Below are its offices (organisational units in IPA): each has a 6-character unique code and often its own PEC. Some offices are enabled to receive e-invoices: those are the ones to put on an invoice.
We download the list of bodies from IPA open data and refresh it periodically. PEC and offices are read from IPA when you open a body, so they are current.

Data used and licence
Index of digital addresses of the public administration and public service operators (IPA), AgID: datasets of bodies, organisational units and units receiving e-invoices. IPA open data · CC BY 4.0
Changes: the list of bodies is reduced to IPA code, name, tax code, category, municipality, address, PEC, website and acronym, and reorganised for search. For offices we show name, code, address, PEC and invoicing data. Personal data and ordinary email boxes are excluded. No data is rewritten.

Changes: we use only the name and province code, to show the municipality next to the ISTAT code given by IPA.
Frequently asked questions
What is the office code (codice univoco ufficio)?
It is the 6-character code that identifies an office of a public body in IPA. In an e-invoice to an Italian public administration it goes in the Recipient code field, and the Exchange System (SdI) uses it to deliver the invoice to the right office. For invoices between private parties the recipient code has 7 characters instead.
The body has several codes: which one goes on the invoice?
The code of the office that placed the order or manages the contract. The body usually states it in the order or contract; if not, ask the office. A code of an office that does not receive invoices, or is not active yet, gets the invoice rejected (SdI errors 00311 and 00312).
How do I find the PEC of a court or a Revenue Agency office?
In IPA, courts, prosecutors' offices, police headquarters and provincial directorates are offices of a larger body, such as the Ministry of Justice or the Revenue Agency. Type the office name and the city in Italian (for example «tribunale Milano»): the tool also searches offices and shows their PEC and code.
Is a PEC sent to this address legally valid?
IPA is the public list of digital addresses to use for communications with public bodies for all legal purposes (art. 6-ter of the Digital Administration Code). Unless the law says otherwise, a PEC is equivalent to service by post (art. 48). Acts with their own rules, such as court filings, follow the lists and procedures set for them.
How up to date is the data?
PEC and offices are read from IPA when you open a body, and cached for one day at most. The list of bodies you search is refreshed periodically from IPA open data: the date is shown below the tool. If a body is new or recently renamed, also check the IPA portal.
Why can't I see the managers' names?
IPA open data also contains the names of the people in charge of bodies and offices. That is personal data, and it is not needed to find a PEC or an office code, so we do not download or show it. For the same reason we show only offices' PEC addresses, not their ordinary email boxes.
